Volleyball Game Preview: Somonauk Bobcats vs. LaMoille Lions

Somonauk is a perfect 3-0 against LaMoille since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bobcats will host the Lions at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Somonauk's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while LaMoille has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Monday, Somonauk didn't have quite enough to beat Dwight and fell 2-1. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-21 in the first set.

Somonauk started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 25-11.

Meanwhile, LaMoille came up short against Indian Creek on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

While LaMoille had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Somonauk's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for LaMoille, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.

Somonauk was able to grind out a solid win over LaMoille in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
