Basketball Recap: Ridgewood Comes Up Short

Ridgewood suffered their closest loss since November 22, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of the North Chicago Warhawks by a score of 68-66. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rebels came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Warhawks are ranked 543rd).

Ridgewood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for North Chicago, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Ridgewood will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverside-Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for North Chicago, they will take on Boylan Catholic at 2:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
