After a string of three wins, Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays by a score of 3-2. While the WolfPack didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Jays 25-15 in the first set.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Conemaugh Valley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-17, 25-15, 20-25, 15-10.

Leading Conemaugh Valley to victory were Kyra Miller and Illy Darcangelo. Miller had 13 digs, while Darcangelo had ten digs. Darcangelo has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Conemaugh Valley, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-12-1.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Conemaugh Valley, they will take on West Branch at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
