Basketball Game Preview: Parsippany Redhawks vs. Whippany Park Wildcats

Parsippany is 2-8 against Whippany Park since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Parsippany Redhawks will venture away from home to face off against the Whippany Park Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Parsippany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Parsippany didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Boonton, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redhawks.

Parsippany's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Alex Schmieder, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds, and Thomas Niedermaier, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Whippany Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Morris County Tech 63-41 on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Parsippany now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Whippany Park, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6.

Parsippany beat Whippany Park 60-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Parsippany repeat their success, or does Whippany Park have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
