Baseball Recap: Glen Ridge Comes Up Short

Glen Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-7 to the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders. The Ridgers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Glen Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Bayne, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Glen Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Ridge will head out to square off against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Cranford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
