Bishop Hartley's Sam MacKowiak rumbled for the longest rushing play in Central Catholic - Gold this season in his game against Withrow last week. MacKowiak scampered for 80 yards on the play and finished with 220 on the day as his team defeated the Tigers.
Bishop Ready added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Muskegon Heights, 63-8. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Bishop Hartley's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jared Brandewie has thrown for 1,094 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Jacob Mercier has 23 catches for 598 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Bishop Ready takes on second place Bishop Hartley. Bishop Ready topped the Tigers last week, while Bishop Hartley defeated Withrow.
The league will see a high scoring game when Joel Cutler's team and Brad Burchfield's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Silver Knights comes in having scored 26 this season, while the Hawks have scored 344. Bishop Ready scored 63 points last week as it beat Muskegon Heights.
The Silver Knights took down the Tigers 63-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
