For Deming's part, Estevan Mariscal was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Mariscal has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
