Basketball Recap: Apalachee Comes Up Short

Apalachee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 62-24 defeat at the hands of the Alcovy Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-36 back in January.

It was another big night for Janae Hutcherson, who went 10 for 16 on her way to 28 points and six steals for Alcovy. Hutcherson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Simaria Wilburn was another key player, putting up six points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Apalachee's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Alcovy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.

As of now, neither Apalachee nor Alcovy have any future games scheduled.
