Volleyball Recap: South Range Victorious

After losing to Hubbard the last time they met, South Range decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles on Thursday. The game was the first time the Raiders have beaten the Eagles on their court since September 1, 2022.

South Range was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 19-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Haylie John, who had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October of 2024. Anna Toy also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for South Range and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Hubbard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Range will host Canfield at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hubbard, they will welcome Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
