Volleyball Recap: Payson Has No Trouble Against Richfield

Payson hadn't done well against Richfield recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lions blew past the Wildcats 3-0. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

Payson not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Richfield to exactly 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

Payson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Richfield, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Payson will head out to challenge West Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Richfield, they will face off against Pine View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
