Ballston Spa had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 8-5  on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with  a   3-0  victory over the Hudson Falls Tigers. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Scotties have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Not much got past  Makayla LaRose, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Hudson Falls off the board.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Livia Wiltsie, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
As for Hudson Falls,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. Having soared to a lofty 21  runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 On Hudson Falls' side,  Anna Winter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballston Spa will face off against Pearl River at 11:05  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Hudson Falls, they will challenge Averill Park at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
