Softball Recap: Central Drops Highest Score of Season Against Corvallis

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central). They blew past the Corvallis Spartans 20-10 on Wednesday. Considering the Panthers have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Corvallis, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Central will take on West Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corvallis, they will venture away from home to take on McKay at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Royal Scots at the right time seeing as the Royal Scots are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
