Soccer Recap: Gilbert Falls Short Against Ranked Sunnyside

On Wednesday, Gilbert faced Sunnyside in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Gilbert Tigers fell just short of the Sunnyside Blue Devils by a score of 1-0.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Sunnyside, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3.

Gilbert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sunnyside, they will head out to challenge Salpointe Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Salpointe Catholic will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Sunnyside surely won't give up without a fight.
