Recap: Bowen Boilermakers vs. Corliss Trojans

The Bowen Boilermakers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-18 victory over Corliss. That's another feather in the cap for Bowen, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Bowen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kimora Myles, who scored 24 points along with three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Myles has scored at least 25% of Bowen's points. D'Mya Adams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

The victory got Bowen back to even at 5-5. As for Corliss, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Bowen will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DuSable at 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024. After both having extra time off, Corliss and Tilden will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Tilden: 17.1, Corliss: 22.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
