Softball Recap: Richmond Spartans vs. Lexington Minutemen
Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lexington Minutemen, falling 19-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 16-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on September 9th.
Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Lexington, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-13 record.
Richmond will head out to challenge Summit Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Summit Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Richmond surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lexington, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Braymer at 5:30 p.m. Lexington is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
