Softball Recap: Valley Head Takes a Loss

Valley Head's last matchup with Collinsville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Tigers lost 16-6 to the Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the sixth time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-10 loss last Saturday.

Valley Head saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adleigh Lockett, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Raegan Key, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The defeat snapped Valley Head's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-21-2 record. As for Collinsville, they moved to 17-15-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Valley Head will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Asbury at 4:30 p.m. As for Collinsville, they will venture away from home to challenge Ider at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
