After losing to Midfield the last time they met, Oakman decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Patriots 50-22. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Tyler Thomas produced another solid effort rushing for 355 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Those 355 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Ledger Martin helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Oakman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 472 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Oakman and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Midfield, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Oakman will challenge Southeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. Midfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
