Football Game Preview: Baldwyn Bearcats vs. Biggersville Lions

The Baldwyn Bearcats will face off against the Biggersville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwyn is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Baldwyn's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 43-0 win over East Union. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Baldwyn found their leader in freshman Calvin Price, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries. Those 103 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Price. The team also got some help courtesy of Jourdan Crump, who rushed for 56 yards and two scores.

Baldwyn was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, Biggersville took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-6 victory over Alcorn Central. The Lions are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fourth game they've won by 20+ points this season.

Biggersville's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Baldwyn, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Baldwyn against Biggersville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-0 win. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
