After flying high against Workman last Tuesday, Pomona came back down to earth. The Pomona Red Devils took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garey Vikings on Wednesday. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Leo Luna made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Noah Zayas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Garey, the win snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pomona will take on Workman at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pomona is facing Workman at the right time seeing as Workman is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Garey, they will face off against Colony at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Colony is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
