Mountainair won against Quemado last Thursday with 48 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Mountainair Mustangs snuck past Varsity Opponent with a 48-43 victory. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mountainair has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Mountainair and Alamo Navajo will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Alamo Navajo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Mountainair likes a good challenge. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-33 loss against Frederick Baptist Academy on the 17th.
