Volleyball Game Preview: Cabrillo Conquistadores vs. Lompoc Braves + Official Tickets

Cabrillo has gone 8-2 against Lompoc recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Conquistadores will be playing in front of their home fans against the Braves at 6:00 p.m. Cabrillo will be strutting in after a win while Lompoc will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Cabrillo got the win against Orcutt Academy by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Conquistadores in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

Taylor Savella and Jazlene Brady were among the main playmakers for Cabrillo as the former had three digs and three aces and the latter had 14 assists and two aces. Brady has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more assists the last four times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Cabrillo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Lompoc was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Righetti, falling 3-0.

Lompoc took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Lompoc's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Cabrillo, their win bumped their record up to 18-16-1.

Cabrillo took their victory against Lompoc in their previous meeting on October 7th by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Conquistadores repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
