Softball Game Preview: Johnson Bayou Rebels vs. South Cameron Tarpons

Johnson Bayou is 0-4 against South Cameron since March of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels will challenge the Tarpons at 5:00 p.m. Johnson Bayou has given up an average of 17 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Johnson Bayou is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 20-4 to Elton.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Cameron, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hathaway with a sharp 19-9 victory on Monday. The Tarpons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Annie Trahan was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Lexi Hooper was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4.

Johnson Bayou's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for South Cameron, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Johnson Bayou suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to South Cameron in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
