Recap: Webberville Spartans vs. Maple Valley Lions
The Webberville Spartans were the 69-42 winner over the Maple Valley Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Webberville fell just short of Maple Valley by a score of 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ayden Wilkes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Maple Valley, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Wilkes hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Jake McDonald was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Webberville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Maple Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Webberville will look to defend their home court on Monday against Durand at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Webberville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. As for Maple Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-47 win vs. Quincy on the 9th.
