Volleyball Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Point on Tuesday, Itawamba Agricultural came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Smithville Seminoles by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Indians have struggled against the Seminoles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Itawamba Agricultural actually scored more points across those five sets (105-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 15-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Itawamba Agricultural's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Smithville, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Itawamba Agricultural will welcome Tupelo T at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Smithville, they will venture away from home to square off against Nettleton on Friday.
