The Union Mine Diamondbacks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Woodland Christian Cardinals 6-5.

Nate Gregson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Cramer, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Union Mine back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Union Mine will venture away from home to take on Bret Harte at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodland Christian, they will welcome El Dorado at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
