Nekoosa is 1-9 against Wisconsin Dells since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Papermakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Nekoosa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Nekoosa didn't have quite enough to beat Wautoma and fell 7-6.

Montana Rowe was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sofia Gaupp, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Dells came up short against Adams-Friendship on Tuesday and fell 8-4. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Green Devils: they've now lost five in a row.

Nekoosa's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Wisconsin Dells, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Nekoosa might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Wisconsin Dells in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Papermakers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
