Baseball Game Preview: Memphis Home Education Association vs. Millington Central Trojans

Memphis Home Education Association will head out on the road to challenge the Millington Central Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Memphis Home Education Association is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Memphis Home Education Association will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Harding Academy on Thursday. Memphis Home Education Association put the hurt on Harding Academy with a sharp 20-5 victory. The game marked Memphis Home Education Association's most dominant win of the season so far.

Caleb Long made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Long was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. In other batting news, Memphis Home Education Association got a massive performance out of Luke Sanders, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Meanwhile, Millington Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to Lakeland Preparatory.

The victory got Memphis Home Education Association back to even at 6-6-1. As for Millington Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
