Baseball Recap: Locust Grove Comes Up Short

After flying high against Nathan Hale last Saturday, Locust Grove came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Grove Ridgerunners on Monday, falling 12-2. The Pirates have struggled against the Ridgerunners recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Locust Grove now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

While Locust Grove had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
