Football Recap: George Jenkins Comes Up Short

George Jenkins was the 34-14 winner over Mulberry when they last played one another back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles and the Panthers were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Eagles suffered a 7-6 loss. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, George Jenkins' defense still kept up the pressure with 4.5 sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

George Jenkins now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mulberry, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George Jenkins will challenge Tavares at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mulberry, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Fort Meade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
