After a string of three wins, ALA - Queen Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaparral Firebirds.

Sara Bowcutt paced ALA - Queen Creek's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bowcutt got some help from Mckenna Kehoe and her 20 assists. Tatum Riggs controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

ALA - Queen Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Chaparral, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

ALA - Queen Creek has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Flagstaff on the 20th. As for Chaparral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Desert Mountain on the 20th.
