Basketball Preview: Southeast Lancers vs. Yates Center Wildcats
Southeast is 6-1 against the Wildcats since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Southeast Lancers will be playing at home against the Yates Center Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Southeast's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Wildcats have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Southeast fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Lancers on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to the Lancers.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-25, which was the final score in Yates Center's tilt against the Wildcats on Friday.
Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Yates Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
Everything came up roses for Southeast against the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 70-22 victory. Does Southeast have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
