Baseball Recap: Rowan County Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Rowan County waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Morgan County Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Grant Rose looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Ben Dehart was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Richardson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

Rowan County's win bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Morgan County, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

Rowan County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-5 victory against Russell on the 28th. Morgan County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
