Basketball Recap: Elk City Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Elk City Elks came up short against the Liberal Redskins and fell 46-38.

Liberal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from James Fieser, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Diego, who posted 11 points.

Elk City now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Liberal, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Elk City will take on Childress in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberal, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Yukon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
