Basketball Game Preview: Andrews Wildcats vs. Summit Charter Bears

The Andrews Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Summit Charter Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Andrews knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Summit Charter likes a good challenge.

Andrews will head out to face Summit Charter after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Andrews took a 73-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Panthers are ranked 123rd).

Meanwhile, Summit Charter had to suffer through a 76-47 loss at the hands of Swain County. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Summit Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Andrews, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Everything came up roses for Andrews against Summit Charter in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 73-16 victory. In that game, Andrews amassed a halftime lead of 46-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
