Baseball Game Preview: Concord Minutemen vs. Wawasee Warriors

The Concord Minutemen will face off against the Wawasee Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Concord and 11 for Wawasee dating back to last season.

On Friday, Concord didn't have quite enough to beat Warsaw and fell 6-5.

Parker Schrock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Wawasee fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Goshen on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the RedHawks by a score of 3-2.

Concord's record is now 4-8. As for Wawasee, their record now sits at 0-10.

Concord couldn't quite finish off Wawasee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 3-1. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
