Recap: Banks Braves vs. Cascade Christian Challengers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Banks Braves can now relate to. They took a 34-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Challengers on Saturday. Banks' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Banks' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kade Long, who threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Max Walker, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
It was another big night for Ashton Moody, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 149 yards and a touchdown for Cascade Christian. Moody's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cascade Christian's defense and their five sacks. Moody was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Banks' loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Cascade Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Banks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cascade Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
