Soccer Recap: Shawnee Mission Northwest Starts Season with Victory at Home

Shawnee Mission Northwest took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Piper Pirates an 8-0 shutout. Shawnee Mission Northwest haven't had any issues with Piper recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Shawnee Mission Northwest duke it out with De Soto on Thursday. As for Piper, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lansing at 6:00 p.m. on April 7.
