Soccer Game Preview: Clark vs. Johnson

The Clark Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Johnson Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clark is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Clark is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Clemens, who was ranked 18th at the time (Clark was ranked 19th). The Cougars' defense stepped up to hand the Buffaloes a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. Clark might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Johnson took on Del Valle on Tuesday. The Jaguars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for Johnson in their matchups with Del Valle: they've now won five in a row.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Johnson, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
