Softball Recap: Rochester Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rochester ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over the Culver Community Cavaliers. The win continues a trend for the Zebras in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Aubrey Wilson, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jadyn Field also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Rochester lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Rochester's record now sits at 5-3. As for Culver Community, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.

Coming up, Rochester will take on Fishers in a tournament on Saturday. As for Culver Community, they will face off against Washington Township at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
