Basketball Recap: Berean Academy Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Berean Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the St. Andrews-Sewanee Mountain Lions to the tune of 74-30 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row dating back to last season.

Berean Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Wigginton out in front who shot 60% from the field en route to 19 points. The matchup was Wigginton's 12th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Stansifer, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 13 points and seven assists.

Looking ahead, Berean Academy will challenge Oakwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, they have already played their next contest, an 81-26 loss against Grundy County on the 19th.
