The Crawfordsville Athenians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They suffered a tough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Tri-West Hendricks. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crawfordsville in their matchups with Tri-West Hendricks: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Athenians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan McLemore, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals. McLemore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Drew Miller continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tri-West Hendricks, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Miller is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wes Ward, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Crawfordsville's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Tri-West Hendricks, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.
