After losing to Fruitport the last time they met, Mona Shores decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sailors blew past the Trojans 3-0 on Saturday.

Mona Shores' got stronger as the match went on, holding Fruitport to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-9.

Mona Shores' victory bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Fruitport, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mona Shores will welcome Byron Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Sailors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fruitport, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grant at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th.
