Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial's last matchup with St. Francis DeSales could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. The Stars lost 14-7 to the Stallions. The Stars have struggled against the Stallions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jae Woodfork was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Burt, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for St. Francis DeSales, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Centennial will head out to square off against East at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Francis DeSales, they will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Hartley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Stallions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
