Last Tuesday, IDEA Bluff Springs was fully in charge, breezing past KIPP Austin Brave 53-7. The victory continues a trend for the Bats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

IDEA Bluff Springs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Saucedo-Palencia, who went 12 for 19 to rack up 32 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Saucedo-Palencia has scored at least a third of IDEA Bluff Springs' points. Je'Nise Solano was another key player, as she made all 8 shots she took racking up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Valor South Austin waltzed into their contest on Friday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They breezed by the Centaurs to the tune of 79-16.

Valor South Austin pushed their record up to 24-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 16.9 points over those games. As for IDEA Bluff Springs, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
