Soccer Game Preview: Hume-Fogg vs. Portland

The Hume-Fogg Blue Knights will take on the Portland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hume-Fogg's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Hume-Fogg is headed into the game having not lost since March 27 and will look to keep things rolling. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Blue Knights who were credited with the victory on Thursday. Hume-Fogg got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Glencliff's four.

Portland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Station Camp on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Bison. While losing is never fun, Portland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Station Camp are ranked 13th).

Hume-Fogg's win bumped their record up to 11-3-4. As for Portland, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-3.
