Omaha Northwest can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past the Tekamah-Herman Tigers 6-4. The win was just what Omaha Northwest needed coming off of a 14-0 loss in their prior matchup.

Colton Beckman made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Beckman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Beckman wasn't the only one making solid contact as eight players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Davonte Pinkston, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Like Omaha Northwest, Tekamah-Herman also got a great game from a two-way player: Cale Belfrage. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Belfrage was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Belfrage wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Caden Booth, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Omaha Northwest made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-4.
