Baseball Recap: Sequoyah's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Sequoyah easily dispatched Midway last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Sequoyah fell just short of the Meigs County Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chiefs have suffered against the Tigers since April 2, 2019.

Sequoyah saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Sequoyah moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Meigs County, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Meigs County beat Sequoyah by a score of 11-0 on Friday.
