Basketball Game Preview: Sehome Mariners vs. Ellensburg Bulldogs

The Sehome Mariners will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Ellensburg Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Sehome came up short against Lynden Christian and fell 69-58. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Lyncs are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Ellensburg had to take the L. They took a hard 81-65 fall against Grandview on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Sehome and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Ellensburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
