Basketball Recap: Tai Turnage's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Raymond Boys over Xaverian

St. Raymond Boys lost against Xaverian back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The St. Raymond Boys Ravens took a 67-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Xaverian Clippers. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Raymond Boys' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tai Turnage, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Turnage's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Stores, Jr., who posted 21 points.

St. Raymond Boys' loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Xaverian, the win also got them back to even at 9-9.

St. Raymond Boys wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 71-55 victory against Mt. St. Michael Academy on the 28th. Xaverian has also already played their next game (against Nazareth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
