Softball Preview: River Valley Raiders vs. Alexander Spartans

River Valley will head into Monday's match having proved themselves against Belpre: River Valley took a ten-point defeat the last time they faced off against Belpre, but they managed to turn things around on Monday. River Valley skirted past Belpre 3-1.

Meanwhile, Alexander had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Nelsonville-York by a score of 16-12 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Alexander needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Kaylee Hudnall was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micaela Moat, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

River Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Alexander, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3-1.

Everything went River Valley's way against Alexander in their previous matchup on April 1st as River Valley made off with a 10-0 win.
